(Mark Batluck, PhD Candidate) Last week, Dr Tommy Wasserman delivered a lecture at Edinburgh on the text-critical issue at the beginning of Mark’s Gospel.  Challenging the modern consensus, Wasserman argues that the ‘Son of God’ (υἱοῦ θεοῦ) variant in 1:1 is the initial reading.  The lecture and Q&A are below and well worth the time.
